STILLY VALLEY LITTLE LEAGUE

Rookies Division Softball

Rookie Division ages 6-8
In this division we focus on how the game is played and very basic fundamentals. They get to learn how to be a part of a team and how to be a great teammate.

Please note, if a player league age 8 wants to tryout for next level of play, then register them in the minor division.
8-year old can try out for minors, must have 3/4 of the minors coach's approval to be in the minors draft. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Approval decisions are determined by skill, maturity, and most of all safety.
No more than two(2) league age 8 players may be placed on a team roster at the next level of play.
If the player is not voted in, then the player reverts back to rookies.

There are no tryouts for this division. This is a coach pitch division; however, older players may work in to pitching at the end of the season to prepare for minors at coach's discretion. Once registration closes the Softball Player Agent will create the teams and assign coaches. While creating teams we can accommodate some carpools, coach's requests, player requests etc., which we only do the Rookie Division. Please contact the Softball Player Agent for more information. Stilly Rookie Softball does NOT incorporate machine pitch.
